19th GLOBAL MARIJUANA MARCH-TORONTO SAT MAY 6TH 2017 HIGH NOON GATHERING. 2 PM LAUNCH CANADA'S LARGEST MARIJUANA MARCH KEEPS GROWING! HELP STOP MARIJUANA ARRESTS! The 19th annual Global Marijuana March (G.M.M.) will take place in hundreds of cities across the globe as a protest to end marijuana prohibition. The Toronto chapter has participated from the beginning and is expected to once again organize the largest march in the Canada! With over 20,000 marchers in Toronto, and hundreds of thousands more participating around the globe. Tthe G.M.M has grown to be one of the world's largest anti-prohibition demonstrations and with impending Canadian legalization the atmosphere around G.M.M this year is very exciting! On Saturday May 6th Toronto's G.M.M. will start with a gathering at HIGH NOON leading to the protest march at 2 p.m. In the past the Toronto G.M.M's mandate has focused on the preservation of the Freedom to choose, along with other rights protected under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. This year we are marching for the rights of licensed craft growers, dispensary owners and medical users in th new Canadian legal marijuana landscape, The G.M.M. route will once again travel throughout the downtown core with thousands led by Marc and Jodie Emery of CANNABIS CULTURE. The G.M.M will once again travel north from Queens Park to Bloor, east to Yonge street, Yonge to Wellesley and west back to Queens Park. Unfortunately onnce again there will be no festival components such as washrooms, staging or legal vendors at Queen's Park as no permit has been granted by the City. CANNABIS CULTURE will however be sponsoring a ticketed POP UP event in association with G.M.M for after the march with entertainment and vendors village at a location to be announced at G.M.M!! A person’s choice may not be the same as ours, however, their freedom to choose, express themselves, assemble and protest should be protected under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
