Medical Marijuana: Myths and Medicine

The Collaborative Nursing Network of NEPA – in collaboration with chapters of Sigma Theta Tau, PSNA District 3, and PSNA District 4 – will present “Medical Marijuana: Myths and Medicine” at the Holiday Inn, Wilkes-Barre. Cost is $40 (dinner + program), $15 (program only), or $5 (student program only). The event will begin at 5 pm with district meetings, 6 pm dinner, and 7 to 9 pm education. This program will: (1) identify current knowledge and bias toward medical marijuana; (2) discuss events that led to consideration of medical marijuana; and (3) describe current legislative actions at the state and national levels. The event’s speaker will be PSNA Chief Executive Officer Betsy M. Snook, MEd, RN, BSN. This activity has been submitted to Pennsylvania State Nurses Association for approval to award contact hours. Pennsylvania State Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
