Medical Marijuana in PA Training

*Marijuana has been a plant source of medicine for centuries. It has also been a recreational drug in this country for decades. It has remained a controversial substance throughout its history, attracting strong advocacy as well as divisive regulation and legislation. The current legal status of the drug in the United States is one of contradiction and inconsistency. This training will provide an understanding of the legal framework for the medical use of marijuana in the state of PA. In addition, it review the medical and recreational use of marijuana in the US historically and currently. This course will explore the biological components of the cannabis plant, physiological effects and biological basis for its use.
