Keynote Presentation: Messy Conversations Nadarajan (Raj) Sethuraju, Ph.D. will focus on bringing the conversation full circle. Many causes advocated for today intersect; specifically racial disparities, the criminal justice system, and the war on drugs. Decriminalization of cannabis is step toward addressing these issues. Dr. Raj is an Assistant Professor in the School of Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice at Metropolitan State University. He has also served as an Associate Dean of Diversity matters at Gustavus Adolphus College and in various leadership capacities at various colleges and universities in the arena of diversity and globality. He has over 20 yrs. of experience in administrative and implementation of diversity initiatives. His leadership in the field of diversity and equity both in the trenches and at the institutional level is proven and fundamental. He is also a champion of the diversity matters, circle process and Restorative practices in the twin-cities. His volunteer work in the community using restorative justice and the circle process is inspiring and truly focused on undoing disparities and racism. Consumer Panel Panelists: Jeremy Sankey, Rachelle Gordon, Trey Brown, Jerry Anderson, and Erin Chase Both medical and adult consumers will share their experiences with cannabis. No, not about that one time they had to buy Funyuns and Mountain Dew.
