Microdosing and Marijuana: Less is more

In conjunction with our current exhibition Outlaw Glass, come learn about the benefits of microdosing, and how to do it right with edibles and infusions. RSVP required, via google form. Michael Walker and Ana Salinas introduce the pharmaceutical roots of bitters and how they naturally lend themselves to an “herbal” enhancement. They’ll review bittering process and how cannabis-infused bitters differ from more standard bitters, and how imbibing these bitters socially may offer a glimpse into how we may drink in the future. Jena Min discusses how microdosing edibles naturally enhances a feeling of alert relaxation, which makes it ideal for stressful events such as public speaking. It is especially beneficial for those who experience social awkwardness or anxiety, making it perfect for social gatherings and events. --- Ana Salinas and Michael Walker started their bitters company, Stoned Cold Brooklyn, with a belief that changing policies and more enlightened attitudes about cannabis consumption might go hand-in-hand with ways of socially imbibing to which we are more accustomed. The story of bitters is integral to the creation of the cocktail, which itself was largely born out of prohibition. They hope these bitters in some small way help to usher out the other prohibition that has been with us for nearly a century. Michael and Ana both reside in Brooklyn, where Michael bartends and pursues his passion for econometric modeling, and Ana, a trained graphic artist, does iOS development. Jena Min is the founder of Baked Joint & Co, a health and wellness brand which brings a health-conscious approach to infused meals and snacks in which fresh, natural ingredients are brought together and microdosed for a controlled experience with a socializing effect. Jena has been featured in The New York Times, Time Out NY, Herb, and Leafly, and also manages Condemned to Be Free, a design house of fashion and provocative objets d'art that hosts underground pop-up events and dinner parties. These events bring together a curated guest list of designers, artists, and influencers with one simple mission in mind: to help elevate the social consumption of cannabis to a higher awareness.
