The Alchemy of Cannabis

This class will be held in the Boulder Creek Room at the Boulder Public Library on Saturday, May 27th from 2:15pm - 3:15pm. Please RSVP by buying your ticket online. Key Points: Understanding the different constituents in cannabis and their medicinal value Learning the difference between different extraction methods (CO2 vs Butane vs Live Reisin vs Alcohol vs Spagyric) Understanding the Endocannabinoid System and how it works within the body Summary: We will go over the different constituents present in the cannabis plant and talk about their benefits as well as their extraction. We will learn the difference of cannabis extraction (CO2 vs Butane vs Live Reisin vs Alcohol vs Spagyric). We will also cover the spagyric preparation of cannabis which includes burning the plant to an ash to extract the mineral content. Along with this, we will cover some of the historical and sacramental use of cannabis in ancient cultures and religions. Lastly, we will cover the endocannabinoid system; how it works and what it does for the body. We will then go over the long list of other herbs that also work with the endocannabinoid system to give better insight into how to make blends and more potent, synergistic and effective extracts with cannabis. Please bring a writing utensil and notebook to take notes.
