Growing Warriors and HempX are proud to present an immersive educational experience in Livingston, Kentucky. Hemp in the Holler, set on Mike Lewis’s Healing Ground Farm, is a "hands on” event that showcases the multiple uses and opportunities with industrial hemp. All proceeds benefit the Livingston Economic Development Fund. WHAT'S NEW for 2017 - Camping at Healing Ground Farm with Eco-showers. Friday, May 26th - THE WELCOME PARTY 6:00PM @ Healing Ground Farm Tickets are $30 per person and includes a progressive hemp centric dinner, live music, adult beverages, and closing bonfire. Purchase Saturday, May 27th - HANDS ON WITH HEMP 12:00PM - 5:00PM @ Healing Ground Farm Tickets are $30 per person and includes all workshops and programming BREAKING - While most consider breaking hemp an art of the past, it is a common task on a working hemp farm. Join Mike Lewis and other artisans in hand processing stalks into fibers as you learn how the earliest textiles were constructed. PAPER MAKING - Elishewa Shalom, founder of Artisan Hemp, will lead a comprehensive demonstration on the process of making hemp paper. She will offer insight into best practices and the diversity of hemp fibers used. HEMP FIBER, BLENDING, COMBING & SPINNING - Kacie Lynn is a shining star on the textile farmer scene and the owner of Fiber Farm in TN. HEMP & SOIL SCIENCE - Dr. Shawn Lucas and KSU students for a comprehensive discussion on the science of soil and hemp farming. LIGHTING - Learn more from our experienced growers about the lighting required to grow a successful hemp crop indoors.
