Cannabis and Hemp Lobby Day

Join us on January 17, 2018 for Cannabis and Hemp Lobby Day to educate our legislators on medical cannabis! Proper business attire required if you want to attend. Three main issues: 1. Mississippians should have the right to try medical cannabis. 2. Mississippi needs a hemp industry, from farming to processing to manufacturing to retail sales. 3. Mississippi spends over $200 million annually on incarcerating nonviolent drug offenders. The vast majority are in jail for simple cannabis possession. African American males are between 4 and 8 times more likely (depending on the county) to be jailed for cannabis despite data that shows AAs and Caucasians in Mississippi smoke at equivalent rates. Is this proper use of taxpayers' dollars? How does this relate to the private prison industry making money off of destroying Mississippi families?
