Teri Freitas Gorman Speaks About Medical Marijuana on Maui

You are invited to join us for our first Salon on Sept. 7, 2017 at 6pm - 8pm. Our special guest speaker is Teri Freitas Gorman, Director of Community Relations and Patient Affairs of Maui Grown Therapies. In 2000, Hawaiʻi became one of the first states to legalize the medical use of cannabis, but patients either had to grow their own or rely on the black market for relief. How do dispensaries fit into integrative health options for patients with qualifying conditions? Teri Freitas Gorman will discuss Hawaiʻi’s first state-licensed medical cannabis dispensary, which opened on August 8, 2017. For the first time in the state’s history, Maui patients can buy lab-tested, quality assured cannabis products to help manage their symptoms. Presentation: Teri Freitas Gorman will provide: ● An overview of the process of opening a state-licensed cannabis dispensary and the high levels of required compliance. ● A discussion as to why cannabis could be the best treatment for many age-related conditions, including aches and pains and ● Expose the myths resulting from years of misinformation about cannabis, while refuting some of the fantastic claims of miracle cures attributed to this ancient medicinal plant. We have limited seating so please be sure to RSVP. To RSVP: Call 808-871-5554 or email: [email protected] Online: https://akaku.org/classes/
