Can My Daughter Bring Me Brownies? Impact of PA's Marijuana Law

Pennsylvania has moved toward the 2018 launch of the state’s medical marijuana program and has selected businesses that will grow, process, and dispense the drug. Family Hospice President Barbara Ivanko will facilitate a discussion with Scott Miller, MD, MA, Family Hospice Inpatient Hospice Medical Director. They will discuss the conditions for which medical marijuana may be obtained, what forms of marijuana will be permitted, how one may legally obtain marijuana for medical use, and whether this treatment will be covered by insurance. They will also address the issue of medical marijuana use in end-of-life care. Light refreshments will be served. There is no fee to attend, but a $10 contribution is suggested.
