The Conservancy proudly announces a new music series of original concerts curated by three extraordinarily talented musicians: Solomon Hoffman, Bobby Katz, and Ethan Usoskin – all Port Washington, NY natives. Casual Thursday evenings at Hempstead House, starting at 8 pm on September 14, October 12, November 9 and December 14. A tasting of fine wine is included. Admission: Conservancy Members: $40 per person Non-Members: $45 per person September 14: Solomon Hoffman This concert will feature a variety of Solomon’s compositions for strings, winds, brass and piano. His eclectic style blends classical, jazz, contemporary, funk, and folk music. The concert will feature the world premiere of “Elul,” a site-specific piece composed for Hempstead House. According to Solomon, this work is “inspired by the custom of sounding the shofar (ram’s horn) as both an inward and a communal wake-up call, exploring our processes for personal and shared reflection in difficult times.”
