Marijuana and the Workplace Workshop

With the impending legalization of marijuana….. - Are you prepared? - What do the regulations look like? - What should you do now to be prepared? - Will your drug and alcohol policy accommodate new marijuana laws? If you have the following questions, this workshop is for you. Medical marijuana is a rapidly changing topic and has great implications for workplaces. Managing medical marijuana in the workplace is complex and requires specialized knowledge of medical cannabis, workplace policy, and case law. Approaching recreational legalization adds another layer of challenges. The morning of this workshop will provide an overview of the cannabis regulations, workplace case law, and drug testing. The afternoon will include a deep dive on drug and alcohol policy, including a GAP analysis on participant's current policy. Participants will be provided a sample drug and alcohol policy and business processes for managing medical and recreational cannabis disclosures.
