Join naturalist Faye Stoner for her last 2017 nature walk for Washtenaw County Parks. Faye is retiring from full-time employment with County Parks after almost 19 years and chose Park Lyndon as the site for her last walk. The hike will focus on nature in general - appreciating Lyndon’s topography, identifying various plants, looking for animal signs, listening for birds and insects, and more. Please note that the trail at Lyndon is a bit hilly. Please stay after the hike for an Open House (3:30 to 5 p.m.) at Park Lyndon Cabin celebrating Faye's 19 years of service. Come spend some time at Park Lyndon’s “cabin in the woods” and join Faye Stoner as she says “Thank You!” to folks for participating in and supporting the nature education programs of Washtenaw County Parks over the last many years. Cake, snacks and beverages will be provided. Come with stories to share about your some of your experiences in nature, with Faye on her walks and programs, or just some of your own nature experiences. Please note: The walk to the cabin is about 5 minutes from the parking lot and is uphill. Please email Faye ahead of time if you need to/would like to be able to drive up to the cabin.
