SPEAK OUT! Stop Orange County plan to ban cannabis dispensaries!

*UPDATE: THE TIME OF THIS HEARING HAS BEEN UPDATED TO 2PM!* The Board of Orange County Commissioners is scheduled to consider whether to allow or to ban medical cannabis dispensaries during a public hearing on Oct. 31 at 2PM. We need YOU to show up and speak out against the proposed ban! 73% of Orange County voters approved Amendment 2 allowing medical cannabis in Florida and they want their vote respected! THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND: Orange County Commissioners HAVE NOT yet decided on the proposed ban on medical cannabis dispensaries, but are being urged adopt the ban by the local Planning and Zoning Commission. The FINAL vote on whether or not to ban medical cannabis dispensaries is expected take place on November 14th. The purpose of this 10/31 public hearing is to hear from YOU, the residents of Orange County, before that final vote in November. The best time to use your voice and tell your story is NOW! A proposal to allow medical cannabis dispensaries is also being considered. Both proposals would only apply to unincorporated areas of Orange County and WOULD NOT directly impact existing ordinances regulating dispensaries in the Cities of Orlando, Winter Park, Apopka or Winter Garden.
