Public Mtg to Discuss Marijuana Social Consumption Permit for 1244 Grant

NEIGHBORHOOD ASSEMBLY REGARDING A PROPOSED "MARIJUANA SOCIAL CONSUMPTION PERMIT" FOR 1244 GRANT STREET Last year Denver voters approved an initiative that would allow permitting of Marijuana Social Consumption establishments by Denver's Department of Excise and Licenses. Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods (CHUN) has been contacted by Utopia Wellness Spa & Lounge regarding its desire to obtain such a Marijuana Social Consumption Permit for the property located at 1244 Grant Street, which would also include an outdoor marijuana consumption area. A Neighborhood Assembly will be held in order to allow Utopia to explain its proposal, and also to discuss a possible Good Neighbor Agreement that has been discussed between Utopia and CHUN and possibly other Registered Neighborhood Organizations (RNOs). This Neighborhood Assembly is being hosted by four RNOs those being CHUN, The Shire, The Unsinkables, and CARO (Cultural Arts) WHEN: Tuesday, December 5th at 6 PM WHERE: THE BACK ROOM at the Capitol Hill Tavern, 1225 Logan Street In addition, Utopia has invited the community to tour the property at 1244 Grant Street at 5:30 PM immediately prior to the Neighborhood Assembly.
