Christmas Play: "Herod & The King of the Jews"

The New Testament of the Bible features several evil men named Herod. These men were part of a family dynasty appointed by Roman emperors and the senate to rule Israel. Throughout the journey of Jesus as well as his followers — from John to Peter and Paul — the Herod family worked to hinder the spread of the gospel. To a Herod, the gospel of “The King of the Jews” was a threat to their position of power. And despite each Herod’s best efforts and power, Christianity only continued to grow! The Stoner Chapel Baptist Church Christmas program will begin with the Children's Play. The Adult Play, "Herod and The King of The Jews," will follow.
