Restorative Ganja Yoga & Isochronic Tonal Journey

After a long break, we are finally returning to Cambria! We’re so excited to bring back our traditional restorative ganja yoga event to our wonderful local community of Cambria. To celebrate our return, we have crafted a special Isochronic Tonal playlist that will guide our brainwaves through a musical journey into deep meditation. Isochronic tones are a very effective audio-based method of stimulating the brain through a tone that is being turned on and off rapidly. This is done through a complex neurological process known as brainwave entrainment (pronounced: “ehn – TRAIN – mint”), which enables the use of audio or visual stimuli to affect the brain and help people with a variety of problems. When the brain is presented with a rhythmic stimulus, such as a repeating tone, the rhythm is reproduced in the brain in the form of these electrical impulses. If the rhythm becomes fast and consistent enough, it can start to resemble the natural internal rhythms of the brain, called brainwaves. When this happens, the brain responds by synchronizing its own electric cycles to the same rhythm. This is commonly called the Frequency Following Response (or FFR). FFR is useful because brainwaves are very much related to mental state. For example, a 4 Hz brainwave (theta) is associated with sleep, so a 4 Hz sound pattern would help reproduce the sleep state in your brain. The same concept can be applied to many other mental states, including concentration, relaxation and meditation. During our event, we will journey through music and sounds that produce the wavelengths Alpha, Theta, Delta and finally Epsilon as we guide your own brainwave patterns to various meditation points: Alpha (8 TO 13 HZ) = Alpha brainwaves are dominant during quietly flowing thoughts, and in some meditative states. Alpha is ‘the power of now’, being here, in the present. Alpha is the resting state for the brain. Alpha waves are considered to be the “chill waves”. They often occur when you are just hanging and doing nothing. They are also very important regarding the connection of the conscious and the subconscious mind. Theta (4 TO 7 HZ) = Theta brainwaves occur most often in sleep but are also dominant in deep meditation. Theta is our gateway to learning, memory, and intuition. In theta, our senses are withdrawn from the external world and focused on signals originating from within. Delta (.5 TO 3 HZ) = Delta brainwaves are slow, loud brainwaves. They are generated in deepest meditation and dreamless sleep. Delta waves suspend external awareness and are the source of empathy. Healing and regeneration are stimulated in this state. Delta waves represent the unconscious mind, think of them as being your innate radar. Epsilon (less than 0.5Hz) = Epsilon waves have been found in extremely deep states of meditation. They are connected with a feeling of complete bliss and compassion. If a person reaches the epsilon brain wave state of mind one can experience extreme spiritual and personal insight and inspiration. Also, a spontaneous out of body experience can occur (in combination with lambda waves). To help the brain open even further, we will be offering our standard selection of cannabis offerings including Vana Tisanes who will be featuring their organic herbal blends, baceae with their delicious organic food-first edibles, Bloom Farms with a variety of concentrate vape pens, Humboldt Apothecary and their herbal high cbd tinctures, topicals from Topicanna and a selection of home grown cannabis from Vanaspati Yoga enjoyed through our vaporizer selection including Vapexhale. We welcome all levels making it a good way to try yoga in an informal setting whether you are a beginner or a seasoned yogi. We strive to create a comfortable and functionally enhanced state where students can enjoy relaxing while bringing the power of plants within. Students who prefer not to medicate are more than welcome to join as well! ********************************************************************* Event Details: $20/Person 7.00 pm: Vaporize & Enjoy Cannabis offerings 7.30 pm: Begin Restorative Yoga Class 9.30 pm: Meditation and Herbal Tea 9.30 – 10.00 pm: End Class (you may stay as long as you need) ********************************************************************* 1.We encourage you to purchase your spot ahead of time (bit.ly/ganjayoga), which will guarantee your spot in the class.
