2018 VIHC Industrial Hemp Lobby Day - The Virginia State Capitol

Please accept our invitation to join us to lobby for pro industrial hemp bills in the Virginia General Assembly on Wednesday, Jan 24th at the Virginia State Capitol. Showing up at the Capitol and meeting with our Delegates and Senators DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Every year the VIHC has a very successful lobby day around the beginning of the legislative session. If you cannot be with us that day you can still help by calling into your Delegate's and Senator's office. Please tell them you are a constituent and ask them to fully support the Virginia Hemp Industry. Please stick to just this topic. Don’t know who your State Delegate and Senator is? Don’t worry, just put in your address here to find out : http://whosmy.virginiageneralassembly.gov/ If you can join us for the day please schedule a meeting with your Delegate and Senator on the 24th of January at a time convenient for you. You do this by calling the Representatives Richmond office. The sooner you can schedule the better as their schedules get booked up quickly. If you cant schedule a meeting with your actual Rep due to them being busy please meet with their staffer that handles agricultural issues. Please dress professionally for the day, a suit and tie is preferred for men and business attire for women is suggested. Schedule for Lobby Day: 8 AM – 9:30 AM : Organizational Meeting in the Hospitality Suite Commonwealth Park Suites Hotel - 901 Bank St, Richmond, VA 23219. A complementary continental breakfast including hemp foods will be served. Please RSVP to [email protected] to register and get the Suite number. Handouts and information will given out at the meeting and we will organize and continue to help folks schedule meetings for the day.
