Over the past few years, amidst a wave of women-led movements, marches on Washington, #metoo, and Time’s Up, feminism has moved to the front lines of social debate. The women led team at Storefront Theatre agree – Fuck it! Time IS up! In the spirit of moving forward and supporting each other, Feminist Fuck it Festival CELEBRATES the female experience from a multitude of perspectives. Headlining production GANGA’S GANJA will play throughout the festival every night at 8pm and Sundays at 2:00pm. By Radha S. Menon, and presented with the generous support of Toronto’s Storefront Theatre, GANGA’S GANJA is a tale of two sisters, medical marijuana and a snake. Timely, political, sexy and featuring POC GANGA’S GANJA is sure to delight and challenge audience members. Hamilton’s G Girls: Radha Menon, Jennie Esdale, Tony Sciara, Senjuti Sarker, Pam Patel, Amanda De Freitas, Jesse Horvath and everyone at Red Betty Theatre are stoked to transform the Staircase Theatre into one heaving estrogen laden art space during the first week in April. Show Description: Living in complete isolation, Ganga cares for her sister Mena who suffers from Multiple Sclerosis. Mena has renounced her previous pharmaceutical care regime and uses cannabis medicinally to ease her debilitating symptoms. Ganga self-medicates and uses sex to blot out guilt and loneliness. A fast-talking interloper stumbles into their world and their weed crop is stolen- thrusting the sisters onto a path of no return. Let’s support art that is inclusive of women’s voices and embraces more multi-faceted viewpoints and approaches. Let’s have an arty party!
