Black Soil 2018 Tour: Stoner View Farm

Black Soil: Our Better Nature kicks off its 2018 season in North Middletown located in Bourbon County. Meet us on the 10 acres owned and farmed by Mr. Bill and Mrs. Carmella Conner. We are delighted to provide a Farm Tour, Farm to Table Dinner, and activities for all ages with your ticket purchase! A Story of Reclamation Their story of returning to their hometown to pick up the family tradition of caring and tending the land is inspiring and admirable. We look forward to introducing you to these fun loving, dedicated farmers located just 28 miles from Lexington. A Home Away from Home In addition to their fresh farm egg and cattle operation, Stoner View Farm is home to a bed and breakfast that (1) lucky attendee will get the chance to win a (1) night stay for (2)! This tucked away retreat is the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of urban life. During our event, we'll provide a chance for you to tour the bed and breakfast and book your stay! Eat and Be Merry! Enjoy an upscale buffet featured in our Farm to Table dinner prepared by some of Kentucky's premier culinary artists. Break into groups and explore the farm with various stations that help you connect even more with the great outdoors! We finish our tour shopping the Farm Store featuring Central Kentucky's favorite fresh farm eggs. These Kentucky Proud fresh eggs are featured in several retail outlets in Bourbon and Clark Counties. On the tour, we encourage you to: Bring a fishing pole to enjoy some time by Stoner Creek, pair up with a friend and capture the beautiful landscape of rural Bourbon County visit with the chickens and cows bring a blanket, journal, games to enjoy with friends, old and new ***Carpooling to the event is highly encouraged*** FAQs Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? Photo ID and ticket are required for entry. Families are encouraged to attend! Guests must be 18 years of age or old unless accompanied by parent/guardian and maintained under supervision at all times. Attendees under 18 must have ticket to enter. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? Unless otherwise noted in event description, all Black Soil event attendees arrive at the destination using private transportation. Carpooling is highly encouraged. Parking will be provided at event site to attendees at no extra charge. What can I bring into the event? Journal, blanket, fishing pole, cash, camera/camera equipment. Photo ID, Ticket Wear comfortable, safe weather appropriate clothing, outerwear, close toed shoes. Arrive at event start for registration, no early entry.
