April 2018 MMJ Seminar

The information is taught during a two-day weekend seminar that will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. and end at 6:00 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday with one hour set aside for attendees to have lunch. This 16-hour seminar is being presented so that our professionals provide you with opportunities for question and answer sessions on each topic covered. This is an engaging and informative opportunity for attendees to learn and hear about what it takes to enter into the exciting and rewarding world of medical marijuana. Day one will provide an overview of the history and general uses of the cannabis plant and the most important aspects of running a business in the cannabis industry. Attendees will be introduced to current political and ethical issues regarding the medical marijuana industry, as well as specific federal and state laws that pertain directly to Florida. The following topics that will be discussed include: Introduction to Cannabis as Medicine History of Cannabis as Medicine The 5 Marijuana Compounds Cannabis Business Management Understanding the Law Dispensary Overview Packaging and Delivery Strains and Patients Edibles and Extracts Day two will provide the fundamentals of growing cannabis and the many challenges that accompany the horticultural side of the medical marijuana industry. Attendees will be introduced to the mediums, techniques and equipment necessary to build a successful grow space for an outdoor or greenhouse style cultivation space that produces healthy, vigorous plants in different scale sizes. Detailed information on breeding and interbreeding strains of cannabis will be discussed while also providing an understanding of the basics for heredity and pollination techniques. The following topics that will be discussed include: Cutting and Seeds Plant Life Cycle Feeding: Nutrients and pH Pathogen Control Lighting, Electrical Safety and Odor Control Basic Heredity Concepts Irrigation Systems Organic Agriculture and Compost Tea Harvesting This seminar will consist of many visual representations to better help attendees grasp the concepts and ideas behind medical marijuana and the ultimate goal of connecting like-minded people with the information necessary to assist those in need of this wonderful and completely misunderstood creation of Mother Earth.
