Workshop presenters will provide research-based education about marijuana from the perspective of science and pharmacology. They will also describe the current legal landscape surrounding marijuana use and its implications on public health and safety and effects on youth. To complement the educational component of this workshop, participants will review strategies for developing effective messaging, working with the media to disseminate information and best practices for creating a fact-based position statement.
