Our Kids and Drugs of Misuse: Nicotine, Marijuana & Opioids

The Massachusetts Health Council is hosting "Our Kids and Drugs of Misuse" at the Wilder Pavilion at Bentley University to discuss common drugs of misuse in response to the need for up-to-date information and messaging among educators and community leaders. The Department of Public Health has reported that a new approach may be necessary in today's climate as new legislation is implemented and societal norms continue to change. This conference will provide attendees with a collaborative environment to network, learn and discuss traditional and modern uses and transportation methods of nicotine, marijuana and opioids. Below is a list of our speakers: Keynote speaker Michael Botticelli is the Executive Director, Grayken Center for Addiction Medicine, Boston Medical Center and former Obama Administration Drug Czar. Other speakers Kevin O’Flaherty, Director of Advocacy, Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids. Andrew Kolodny, MD, Co-Director, Opioid Policy Research Collaborative, Institute for Behavioral Health, Schneider Institutes for Health Policy, Heller School for Social Policy & Management, Brandeis University D.J. Wilson, tobacco control director at the Mass Municipal Association.
