Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?Yes. You must be 21. Please bring ID if you look younger. Do we need a MMJ card? Is cannabis provided? Medical cards are not required since Prop 64, however, since it passed, we've had to become a "BYO" event." Adults are legally allowed to share, and there's always plenty to go around. How much is mat rental? Mats are free in Oakland. Do you have any "karma yoga" programs to make Ganja Yoga more accessible? Pay-what-you-can slots are set aside at every class for low income folk. Just email [email protected] with your details to check availability. Also, first class is free for women who work in the cannabis industry, just email [email protected] with proof (web link with name, etc.), to register. Are you wheelchair accessible? We have an elevator to the third floor. Do I have to use cannabis at Ganja Yoga? Yoga is great, altered or not. Sometimes students feel like enhance their practice with cannabis, cacao, essential oils, certain music (etc.), and other times, having a yoga practice without cannabis feels better. Its always up to you. How much ganja should I consume for this practice? First-timers to Ganja Yoga or yoga in general should consume less cannabis than they usually do, so the experience of yoga is enhanced. Everyone's relationship to cannabis is different. Is it co-ed? Yes. Is it safe? What if I haven't done yoga before? Ganja Yoga is about experiencing something beautiful and trippy and cool inside yourself. Most of the time our eyes are all closed, so its about relaxing in an introverted way, without caring what others are doing. Our flow is slow, mindful, and relaxation-based. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? There is paid street parking, or its just a few minutes walk from BART. We highly recommend using public transportation (19th Street BART is a 2-min walk), or Lyft. “Ganja Yoga clears the mind and relaxes the body with the perfect blend of socialising, medicating and stretching. It is a must try for anyone in search of unique experiences but be aware that once you have been to the studio, you might get hooked.” - Robert
