Bend & Blaze and Ganja Guru Yoga are teaming up to bring you a four-part yoga workshop series. *Workshop 1- Foundation* Tuesday 4/3 (7:00p - 9:00p) We'll explore a brief history of cannabis, yoga, and cannabis yoga. We’ll talk about all the ways we can truly customize and enhance our yoga practice. Without wasting any time we’ll hit our mats. Simple poses and slow moving. Answering questions and figuring it out. Getting hands-on and growing your practice. We will talk about safety in our poses and transitions, as well as how to modify for your specific needs in each pose. *Workshop 2- Exploration* Saturday 4/7 (1:00p - 3:00p) We will take time to understand the spine and it’s healthy function, as well as explore a conscious breath and what that means to our practice. We will start to explore deeper variations of our asanas, specifically twists and backbends. Once we hit our mats we’ll build off a simple and slow flow, applying our new knowledge of alignment and breath control. *Workshop 3- Fascination* Tuesday 4/24 (7:00p - 9:00p) Our focus is balance. We’ll learn the important yoga principle of rooting down and finding a drishti. We will get to know our center of gravity to cultivate a deeper level of concentration, improve our alignment, and tune into the inner sensations of the body in every pose. We’ll get on our mats with a flow specially designed to fully understand how to engage specific muscles that encourage balance. *Workshop 4- Liberation* Saturday 4/28 (1:00p - 3:00p) We are going to explore all the ways to get upside down with inversions and fly in some arm balances. We'll be starting with the fundamentals, and dive into learning about form and muscle engagement to support us safely in our poses. We will cultivate an intention of practicing these postures consistently to directly tone, strengthen and energize all the systems of the body, inducing vitality and balance. **These workshops are for ALL LEVELS. We will explore the preparatory postures to develop strength and confidence while working into full expressions with ease and trust** With extra assisting and adjusting hands in the room, you’ll be sure to leave with the confidence and tools to safely grow your practice. Participants are strongly encouraged to attend all four 2 hour sessions, however, it is not required. Guidelines: All participants must be 21+. MUST SHOW a VALID, non-expired ID at the door. Pre-registration is REQUIRED. We will not accept registration at the door. It's the law. Register using your legal FIRST and LAST NAME. Your name MUST match your ID. Again, it's the law. Limited yoga mats are available to borrow, free of charge.
