Cannabinoid Science, Compassionate Use, Medical Marijuana & Practical Appl

Join us to learn all about medical cannabis research, applications for cannabinoid therapies, Texas’ Compassionate Use program, and how cannabinoids may improve the quality of life for people with autism, epilepsy, and other neurological disorders. Objectives: Understanding different conditions that cannabis has been shown to help improve quality of life Differences between THC and CBD The cannabis plant and parts effective for targeting certain conditions Special Guests: Christy Zartler, CPNP, Director of Family Relations for Mothers Advocating Medical Marijuana for Autism (MAMMA), will also share personal stories of using cannabis to alleviate her daughter’s self-injurious behaviors. We'll be joined by Dr. Rana Said, Pediatric Epileptologist at Children’s Health Specialty Center during the evening session.
