Butane Hash Oil, Fentanyl & HeroinTarget Audience: Law Enforcement, EMS, and Sept 25th Drug Influence attendees are welcome as well.Did you know that butane expands to 288 times its size? That means that one can of butane is enough to fill a 1,400 square foot home with butane vapor. Kind of important stuff to know so your team doesn’t blow up or you need to testify in court. In this course, you’ll learn everything there is to know about butane hash oil (BHO), BHO labs and safety procedures, and closed loop labs. We’ll break it down for you. We’ll also teach you about all of the refinement techniques like “winterization” and vacuum purging. Don’t understand why people’s refrigerators keep blowing up and catching houses on fire? We will explain that too. You’ll also learn the ins and outs of all THC extraction techniques. When you investigate these cases, you might find other extraction methods, so it’s important to become an expert in those too. When you are done with this class, you will know how to handle these cases step by step so you can truly say you are an expert in your field. Most important of all, though, is that I’ll teach you how to be safe when you are doing these investigations. After learning the investigative details of butane hash oil labs, we will delve into butane behavior and the things that you are doing now that can be deadly to your team when investigating these cases. We will also go over the safety equipment you’ll need and procedures to follow if you show up to a lab that has already ignited and there is an active fire and crime scene. We will include aspects of fentanyl, safety protocols for officers, investigators and undercover personnel, and we will break it down as to what protective posture you should use for possession cases, sales and lab incidents. We will also include information you need to know about heroin and new synthetic opiates that are creating a tremendous hazard to our first responders.**Please be advised images presented may be graphic in nature.**MCBAP, Social Work, MCOLES and SCECH CEU’s will be offered. Lunch Provided.
