Exploring Terpenes and the Other Cannabinoids

In Pennsylvania and other states that have passed legislation allowing for use of medical marijuana, growers are required to report concentrations of THC and CBD in their products.  BUT, these are certainly NOT the only molecules contributing to the medicinal effects of marijuana.  Marijuana harbors more than 400 unique chemicals including THC, CBD and other structurally-similar cannabinoids.  Marijuana also contains considerable amounts of terpenes, which are chemicals that contribute to a plant’s smell, taste, and therapeutic effect.  This workshop will elaborate further upon some of these less-known but equally-important components of marijuana-based medicine.
