You Don't Have To Be A Doctor: First-Generation Open Mic

Every 60 seconds, a child of an immigrant does not attend medical school. Often, these lost souls turn to drugs, or worse, comedy. Tales of triumph, dangerously low THC levels, and lost-and-found virginities. Please, join us to hear their tragic stories. Meriam Raouf is an Egyptian-American standup & writer who has not been able to explain her job or overall life choices to her extended family. If you don't come to these shows, she may cry and take the LSAT.  Hans Kim is a big player on the social networking scene through the website http://www.facebook.com/, where he has amassed over a hundred friends. Lorena Russi is a Queer-Latinx comedian whose experience ranges from hosting Chipotle’s Snapchat channel to a career as a professional soccer player.  Tanael Joachim Living in NYC and born and raised in Haiti, Tanael has made appearances on Gotham Comedy Live on AXS TV and Good Day New York on FOX. Some people say his humor is smart and eye-opening; he would probably agree with these people. Taj Osorio didn't write a bio and is very funny. More: Jon Hudson, Brian Park, Napoleon Emill, & Usama Siddiquee
