On September 16, 2019, BioTrackTHC and the Office of Marijuana Policy (OMP)--a part of the Maine Department of Administrative and Financial Services--will host an introductory program in Augusta demonstrating the State of Maine's new track and trace technology for marijuana and marijuana products. The event is intended to provide stakeholders interested in Maine's forthcoming adult use marijuana program and participants in Maine's existing medical marijuana program with a high-level overview of the new software and how it will be deployed in Maine. EventOMP Director Erik Gundersen will provide brief welcome remarks to attendees before turning the event over to representatives from BioTrackTHC. Following their demonstration, a brief question and answer session will be conducted. Coffee and water will be provided to registered attendees. TrainingThe kickoff event will be followed this same week by in-depth training opportunities for existing medical program registrants and their employees. These training sessions are scheduled for: Monday: Augusta Tuesday: Bangor Wednesday: Augusta Thursday: Lewiston Friday: Portland In addition, online training will be made available in the form of webinars for program participants. BioTrackTHC classes for potential adult use licensees will be offered in the coming months.
