9 Pound Hammer is an indica-dominant hybrid (80% indica). It is made from a cross between Goo Berry X Hells OG X Jack the Ripper strains. The name come from how it makes people feel, like they got hit in the head with a hammer. The high goes straight to the dome by giving off a strong cerebral head high.
The high sets in quickly and it leaves smokers feeling happy and couch-locked. Its lab results has measured between 14% and 23% THC. 9 Pound Hammer affects people in great ways. It can be used recreationally and medicinally.
After a couple puffs people notice a relaxing and euphoric sensation. And with another puff, a slow noticeable drift into a couch-lock occurs before drifting away to a good night’s sleep. It’s definitely an evening strain and not a party night strain.
It is moderately difficult to grow this type of strain. It likes soil and produces bushy plants when it is topped off early. The flowers will grow more stacked and dense if the bottoms are kept clear of branches. The flowers have flashes of purple from the anthocyanin pigment in the leaves.
This strain will grow to medium heights and flower quickly within 7-9 weeks. It is best grown indoors and produces heavy yields. Expect heavy scents of fruity grapes while this strain is in flower. Growers never want to leave their garden when their crop is in this frageraful stage.
This strain has great bag appeal. The flowers are large, chunky and multicolored. The buds are dense and the leaves are mossy green and threaded with yellow and orange pistils. The buds feel very sticky because they are completely covered in frosty trichomes.
People feel uplifted and happy when they smoke this strain or eat it as an edible. This strain is so strong that people can use it to combate ailments. They can feel relief from pain, stress, insomnia, depression and muscle spasms.
There are a few negatives associated with this strain. Things like dry mouth, dry eyes, dizziness, anxiousness and paranoia are common when smoking this strain. Enjoy the high and the wonderful feelings and sensations it provides.
After a few puffs, the most noticeable negative is dry mouth. This strain gives cotton mouth, but luckily a very tall glass of water helps keep dry mouth under control. After smoking more puffs, dry eyes start to set in and slight feelings of dizziness occur. The anxiety and paranoia wasn’t excessive, it was light.
This strain has a strong fruity scent with tropical hints. It also has a hint of grape when smoked. When the buds are broken apart, it smells like incense (like how the Afghani landrace lineage smells like).
When it burns the smoke tastes woodsy and piney. On exhale there are hints of lime. The purple colored rendition of this strain smell and tastes like grape.
After a few puffs of 9 Pound Hammer, it leaves smokers feeling floaty and a little confused. It impairs some subtle and mental stimulation. It does not create intense cerebral thinking, but it does alter perception. Colors and sounds are intense and an increased dosage causes couch-lock.
