Green Crack is the Sweetest Invigorating Herb

Green Crack was originally created in Athens, GA in the 1970’s. It stayed local to Georgia for about 30 years before it become a nationally known strain. Now, Green Crack is a common strain found frequently in California and in the rest of North America.

It wasn’t always known as Green Crack. It used to be named Green Cush but Snoop Dogg decided to rename the strain in the early 2000’s. This was due to its hard-hitting effects and the urge to continue smoking long after you’re blazed.

Don’t let the name fool you. There’s no crack or other drugs mixed in Green Crack. However, the name is off-putting for many customers. So, dispensaries tend to rename Green Crack as GC or Green Cush. Despite the negative connotations associated with its name, growing it relatively simple.

Growing GC

Green Crack is an easy to grow strain because it barely needs any attention from its grower. It flowers fairly quickly, grows medium to tall and they all produce high yields. Green Crack’s THC test results average between 13-21% and its CBD test results are about 0-0.1%.

However, Green Crack has several phenotypes and there are several companies that created their own version of Green Crack. Coincidently, all versions of Green Crack have the same parents. Because of their shared genetics, they provide the same wonderful effects.

The Skunk #1 and Afghani parents provide a uniform looking product with variations in the high. The look of Green Crack is the same throughout; green dense buds covered in resin. The high THC content makes it a crowd favorite.

Mjl9694 says, “One of the best strains you can get your hands on. GC is always known to provide effects for even veteran consumers after only a few hits. GC is a crowd favorite due to its high potency and overall cerebral invigoration. If you love that energetic, happy, euphoric-uplifted feeling then this is the perfect sativa for you.”

The Many Faces of Green Crack

One version of Green Crack is an indica dominant strain. It flowers in 45-65 days and outdoor harvests are ready by mid-September. The plant grows tall while preferring to grow indoors.

One of the reasons it’s easy to grow its because it enjoys temperatures within 70-80 degrees F. It also likes 50% humidity and produces high yields. But in colder climates, it is not uncommon for this strain to turn beautiful shades of purple.

The Sick Meds Seeds version of Green Crack is a sativa. And, if vegged a little longer than normal, the yields can reach around 400-500g per square meter indoors. With an average flowering time of 45-55 days, this breeders robust strain is perfectly at home indoors and outdoors.

Humboldt Seeds Organization’s version of Green Crack is a combination of Skunk #1 and an Afghani strain. They dislike the name the name Green Crack, and prefer to call it, Mango. It’s another fast-growing sativa, high yielding and has a decent flowering time of 63 days.

The Similarities of Green Crack

Even though there are many phenotypes of Green Crack, they all have several traits in common. These traits include the high, flavor and scent.

Green Crack starts off with a sweet pungent scent. The sweet elements fade during the hit and are replaced with more muted tones. And these elements are followed up by an earthy aftertaste.

The high this strain produces is energetic, some would even call it racy. But overall the experience is happy and euphoric and sets in quickly. Consumers get an uplifting feeling and leaves them with enough focus to handle basic errands.

The Attributes of Green Crack

Medical patients love Green Crack because it helps alleviate many symptoms. Patients most often use it to treat stress, depression and fatigue. Green Crack is also useful for alleviating symptoms of pain and headaches.

There are a few things to keep in mind when consuming Green Crack. The biggest thing to keep in mind is the dry mouth this strain produces but there are other side effects that users can experience. These include dry eyes, anxiety, paranoia and headaches.

In order to avoid symptoms of dry mouth, smokers should have water or their tasty beverage handy and have eye drops nearby for their dry eyes. The rest of these negative side effects can be combated by keeping an eye on dosages. Green Crack can alleviate headaches, but smoke too much and it can cause them.
