We love NYC Diesel

Thank you, Soma Sacred Seeds, for bringing the world NYC Diesel (otherwise known as, Soma Sour Diesel). They created an award-winning sativa-dominant hybrid that just won't quit. NYC Diesel was created with a mix of Mexican and Afghani landraces. Other breeders mixed a Hawaiian strain with Sour Diesel to create the popular strain, NYC Diesel.

Rumor has it that the father strain is a pure indica or pure sativa dominant plant. The mother strain is definitely the strong sativa; Sour Diesel. Lab results constantly average 21% THC, making this strain a great medical option.

NYC Diesel can be found in the State of New York. But West Coasters never fear, NYC Diesel is a California, Oregon and Washington favorite. This strain can also be found in Nevada and Michigan.

Made in NYC

NYC Diesel grows best in warm climates. It can grow outdoors in areas with warm fall climates. Otherwise, this strain should be grown indoors.

Use clean healthy soil that includes lots of micro and macro nutrients and top the plants during their vegetation stage. Don’t be afraid of using compost tea to help the plant take in nutrients from the soil. It is encouraged that when moving flowers, growers should top-dress the soil with phosphorus-heavy nutrients.

Toping plants encourage full canopy growth. Imagine walking into a cannabis room that looks like a small rainforest. It is recommended that growers keep the lower portions pruned. This strain does not like moistures, keep the room warm and dry. After 9 to 11 weeks, cultivators can hold their head up high when they harvest large amounts of cannabis from their NYC Diesel plants.

Why We Love NYC Diesel

People enjoy NYC Diesel because of its several benefits. The high that smokers enjoy is pleasant and it creates positive moods. Many consumers agree that after a few puffs they start to feel energized, euphoric, happy, uplifted, relaxed and sociable. Erineeh63 said that this strain made her feel, “…giggly, goofy and talkative.”

But this strain doesn’t just make people feel good, it heals them as well. After a hard days work, people tend to feel tired and swollen. This strain helps people handle symptoms such as stress, depression, pain, fatigue and inflammation. It provides relief from these aches and pains while at the same time feeling great about everything they’ve accomplished.

This strain takes it one step further. It is strong enough to help medical patients find relief from other serious medical conditions. These conditions include ADD/ADHD, arthritis, bipolar disorder, chronic pain, and nausea.

A Few Negatives

There are a few negatives associated with this strain. But they are easy to handle and avoid. Lots of people agree that dry mouth is the most common downside to this strain. But it is easy to combat with a tall glass of ice water handy.

The second most common complaint is dry eyes. Smokers recommend keeping eye drops handy when dealing with cannabis. Dry eyes is a common problem when smoking marijuana.

Other complaints that are not as common are dizziness, paranoia and anxiety. People have these feelings when they over do it. When this strain is smoked too much, smokers start to develop these feelings. The best thing to do when these symptoms occur is to stop smoking and sit down. Relax and enjoy the ride that NYC D. provides.

A Taste of NYC D.

NYC Diesel begins to exhume a strong smell during its flowering stage. And the smell remains strong long after its been harvested, put on store shelves and sold to customers. When consumers pop open their bag or jar of NYC D., the air begins to smell like pungent diesel, grapefruit, sweet and limey.

When this strain is lit, many agree that it tastes very similar to what it smells like. It tastes like citrus sweet lime with a chemically undertone. It smells like a strong, potent marijuana.

The high is euphoric, it makes people happier and gives them a strong sense of creativity. People like to smoke this strain when they have a lot on their plate and during social occasions. Expect a wonderful happy-go-lucky feeling with positive energy.

Have you tried NYC Diesel? What was your experience like? Have you tried to grow this strain, or know someone who has? What was the experience like growing this strain? Does its cultivation require too much energy or is it the easiest strain ever grown? Let us know in the comments down below.
