This is a fun and popular strain, but hard to find the original genetics.

With its growth in popularity, people naturally want to get their hands on this strain. Unfortunately there has been confusion over the lineage and identity of Tahoe OG. Growers keep confusing it for its offspring, Tahoe OG Kush. While Tahoe OG is a phenotype of OG Kush, Tahoe OG Kush is a separate strain that combines Tahoe OG with SFV OG.

Let me break it down for you in simpler terms because, let's be honest, this can get confusing. Say that OG Kush is the parent. Then OG Kush had a daugher with another OG Kush and called it Tahoe OG. Crossing the daugher (Tahoe OG) with an indica dominant parent (OG Kush) can produce a variant that is known as Tahoe OG Kush. Tahoe OG and Tahoe OG Kush are NOT the same strain but have similar makeup. I hope that helps clear some confusion up.

Another reason it is easy to be confused is their looks and aroma are similar. One distinguishing trait that all Tahoe lines share is light green calyxes with orange hairs and a thick, visible layer of trichomes. Its aroma is that of lemon and earth with pine and skunky undertones.

It grows slow, but is not lightweight.

Tahoe OG will grow up quickly and tower over other strains. It is a medium width plant, but stretches tall. Flowering will take place at about 9-10 weeks. Growers must remain vigilant for pests but Tahoe OG is not especially weak to disease. One can expect a yield of about 300 grams per square meter.

class=This hybrid strain can handle both indoor and outdoor grow set-ups, though it performs better in indoor grow rooms. It grows slower than its OG siblings so it is going to take some patience from the grower to truly cater to its needs. That being said, those with a bit of experience will have an easier time making it happy.

Night owls and artists alike will enjoy this strain.

Just as there are many strains named after Tahoe OG, there are many different phenotypes that exists of this strain as well. Each phenotype can lean towards sativa, indica, or a solid blend of the two. Whichever version of Tahoe OG is available, patients can expect the sensations to hit at about 2-3 minutes. It is very quick to activate.

Tahoe OG is best to have during the evening and right before bed. It would be dangerous to have this strain during the work day or in high stress situations like before a first date or before an exam due to its potency. It won’t let any consumer stay awake.

Patients have reported feeling a smooth pine smoke per toke that was accompanied with a mild cottonmouth for the next 3 hours on average. When the onset hits, they have experienced a calm, numbing sensation throughout the body.

Consumers love to use this strain to help with their pain and muscle spasms. Its true indica quality kicks in with higher doses as it lulls the user to sleep. In smaller doses (or in certain phenotypes) patients have used this strain for its euphoric and uplifting sativa effects that were helpful for creativity and mindful introspection.

Thanks for reading.
